Workforce Support for Rural General Practitioners
The Workforce Support for Rural General Practitioners (WSRGP) program is used to support the newly arrived and existing general practice workforce in rural areas. This includes support for training, professional development and locum cover.
WSRGP funding can be used to provide support to the newly arrived and existing general practitioners in activities such as:
- Training
- Education
- Mentoring
- Peer/family support
- Locum coverage
- Professional development
Currently, NWQPHC provides subsidies to all GPs and Practices to assist with attendance at education and training events. Talk with your Practice Support Officer about your professional developments needs today!
